Class DescriptionsPilates Body Principals (Beginner)Work on mastering form and principles which realigns, strengthens, lengthens, and improves overall body mechanics. Emphasis on abdominals and back muscles leads to increased core stability and strength and changes your body with basic foundation movements. Free movement and postural realignment results. Pilates Body Movement (Intermediate)Correct body mechanics learned and patterned in Principals (see above) when combined with smooth movement, provide the next test to your foundational core stability and strength. This class will challenge and rejuvenate you. Precision Pilates (Intermediate)This class will deepen your understanding of the anatomy of Pilates. Each week we will focus on a specific area of the body and learn how to move with strength, power and grace. Pilates Core Dynamics (Intermediate)This energetic class will target abdominal and back muscles from every angle. Dynamic, flowing sequences will keep your heart pumping while you integrate strength, power and flexibility. This class will include a 10-15 minute standing Pilates sequence. Pilates Body Integration (Advanced)An advanced level class that challenges your body and brain, working at different paces--sometimes slowly and methodically and then fast and dynamic, conditioning the upper and lower body as a whole. Pilates for JuniorsClasses are divided into Level A for kids below ten and Level B for Teens ages ten to sixteen. This Pilates programme is based on Body Principals and Body Movement as above, designed with cueing for children. An adult attends with the younger student. Pilates on the BallBalls add the element of play into this dynamic class which stimulates postural reflexes and conditions the deep supportive muscles of the spine while working through strengthening and flexibility movements to condition the whole body.
Step/BOSU Pilates IntermediateSweat while using Step or BOSU in Pilates-style. This class incorporates a cardio component into Pilates.
Vertical Intensive (Advanced)The most effective way to functionally challenge the core, strengthen the hips and lower limb system. Most of the class will be standing Pilates with a cardio component.
Body ChangesMake the lifestyle changes you personally need nutritionally, fitness-activity wise, and emotionally & stay committed and motivated in these group sessions. Early Bird Morning Pilates (Multi-level)Wake up your muscles with Pilates at 6:30 AM. Available upon request. Noon Break Pilates (Multi-level)Energize your body during the work day with Pilates at 12:15 PM (45 minute class). Available upon request.
Specialty ClassesMaster Classes (Advanced+)Full classical exercises. Instructor approval required. Equipment Connection (All Levels)Bring the mat/Cadillac/Reformer/Trap/Chair together in this comprehensive class. Increase your understanding and deepen your Pilates workout using the equipment to take you to the next level with resistance and assistance of the springs! A class to sweat in as you work it! Independent Equipment Practice-IEP (Advanced+)Independent individual equipment time for personal practice. Instructor approval required. Duet Semi-Private (All Levels)Semi-private class incorporating the use of Equipment. Pilates for Tension, Aches and Special IssuesThis class progresses slowly and gently to be able to deal with limited movement, chronic tension, and aches to work out. You feel stronger, stretched out and rejuvenated for your everyday living. Pre-Natal PilatesExercise to improve posture, balance, co-ordination and body awareness during the anatomical changes of pregnancy, with emphasis on strengthening low back, abdominals and pelvic floor muscles. Combined with conditioning and toning for the whole body, prepares for the later months of pregnancy, child birth and the demands of motherhood after birth.

Make up classes shall be booked in advance (subject to availability). Make up classes shall be made up within the current session paid for.
Registration is accepted and final with accompanying payment of cheque/cash, debit or credit card. If you cancel before the session starts, you will be charged a $20.00 processing fee. Payment is non-refundable once the session has started. You may transfer classes to a person of your choice. A medical hold is accepted with written request from your physician.
Privates, semi-privates and drop in cards are valid for one (1) year from date of purchase. With twenty-four (24) hour notice, we will reschedule booked privates or semi-privates without charge. Otherwise you will be charged for the session in full.
A service charge of $25.00 is applied to all NSF cheques.
Hatha Yoga This style of yoga focuses on allowing the body to find the pose through the breath. As mindfulness is developed, the body moves deeper into the poses in a safe yet effective manner. Flexibility, strength and stamina are developed while fostering a sense of well-being. Hatha yoga is for everyone. As the beginner becomes more experienced, the poses become more challenging. Flow Yoga Flow yoga is about linking the breath with the pose as we flow from pose to pose in a smooth easy manner, called a Vinyasa. This practice will bring strength, flexibility, openness, overall awareness, enhanced vitality and an ability to focus in the present. Flows can be done quickly for a more energizing workout or slowly for deepening into the poses. Whether your goal is stress reduction or aligning your body with your energy this practice will support your inner movement toward greater harmony and balance. Choose your Level – Gentle or Level 1 (for all levels) or Level 2 for experienced students. Moms and Babes Yoga These poses are practiced with the baby, either in the arms or with the baby beside the mom on the mat. Emphasis is on improving posture, increasing flexibility and strength, and enabling the body to relax more deeply. Confidence and well-being are enhanced, helping to prevent postpartum blues. Baby poses are done with the baby to encourage growth and flexibility. Pre-natal Yoga For the beginner or experienced yoga student, traditional poses are adapted to meet the needs and changes of pregnancy. Benefits are increased circulation, more flexibility as well as preparing the body for the physical demands of labour and childbirth. Body awareness is developed as breathing and relaxation techniques are learned to aid in the birthing process. Vinyasa Yoga (all levels) Start with the basics, beginning to bring awareness to the breath and body. This class will provide a mix of asana (posture), pranyanama (breath work), and gentle meditation. Students will create heat in the body throughout the practice with a variety of shoulder openers, core strengthening postures, balancing and twists. Together we will develop inner focus, strength and motivation.
Power Vinyasa Yoga (experience preferred)
Be prepared to sweat!
Starting with classic Ashtanga Sun Salutations, we begin the class with a
vigorous warm-up. Allowing the body to be warm and ready the breath allows
us to flow through various routines set to strengthen and elongate the
muscles. A mixture of standing postures with forward bends, arm and leg
balances. leading to mat postures including backbends and core
strengtheners.
Power Hour (All levels)
Use your lunch hour to
come out and take time for you!! Shape and Sculpt (All levels) Together we will work towards toning and reshaping the body! Increasing energy levels through movement, this yoga class will increase the heart rate and improve circulation. Gaining strength and endurance while paying special attention to the upper body and abdominal muscles…creating a leaner slimmer body. Nia & Zumba Class Descriptions

WorkshopsPilates Keys Workshops Comprehensive introduction to basics of form and principles, with an introductory primer of body mechanics and alignment. Fundamentals are covered as the keys to results. Pilates Workshops for 2008 Pilates for Walkers - Runners Fees for workshops are $35.00
