Teacher Training

 

The Teacher Training Program at LWP has been very successful and well-received by many who are interested in getting a certified Body Harmonics Instructor Training. There are always new classes added to this program. For more information refer to our website and the poster in the studio.

New to Classes this Summer

 

Based on your responses to our questionnaire The following new additions will be included in the Fall session (Gym shoes may be worn if needed):

 

·   BOSU (Both Sides Up) Pilates: it can be used as a rounded top/flat bottom or a flat top/rounded bottom.  Both sides are challenging, interesting and lead to FUN.  Cardio components will be incorporated in the classes, interspersed with Pilates-based exercises.  As the class progresses, longer cardio components are added. 

·   CARDIO EQUIPMENT: is available in the Milton Studio to all clients.  Call again to book a time and machine.

·   SUMMER STUDENT SPECIAL: 50% OFF ALL MAT CLASSES

Walking and Hiking

 

LWP walks are still taking place.  Leaving from the Oakville Studio on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. and Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. for an hour and a half.  Leaving from the Milton Studio on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. for an hour and a half.  Every third Tuesday departing from the Oakville Studio at 8:30 a.m. we hike Halton Regional Parks and local areas of interest for five hours.

Footsteps for Trees

 

The Footsteps for Trees program at LWP has been really successful with approximately 5,200,000 steps logged in so far. This amounts to about 520 trees planted so far. Please join us, and help expand our “forest” even more.

  Down home Potato Salad

Ingredients

 

10 medium new potatoes, boiled with skins on

6 strips of bacon fried crispy

3 hard boiled eggs

handful of finely chopped sweet onion

 

Method

When potatoes have cooled, skin and rough mash.  Crunch bacon into small portions, chop egg, using both white and yolk, add onion, salt & pepper to taste.  Mix all ingredients with Hellman's Mayonnaise (either light or regular).  Be generous all ingredients should be wet but not sloppy.  Cover and chill in refrigerator for a couple of hours allowing tastes to marry.  Stir before serving.

 

This is an excellent dish when paired with something from your barbeque.
