Tony Wallace.....Meditating with Quieting The Busy Mind is easy and effective for people who are new to meditation, while still accommodating those who have already made it a part of their daily lives. The first track introduces you to methods and philosophy. The second track guides you into the meditation, accompanied by Tony Wallace’s carefully crafted score. During your first two or three sessions, take the time to listen to the entire program. Once you are comfortable, you can start directly from the second track. At that point, you’ll only need to set aside about 25 minutes a day to meditate.

Quieting The Busy Mind is available at LWP for $15.00

Agnes Stassen, who is a Pilates participant at LWP, has been working hard to organize this year's Christmas fund raiser, Christmas Wonders 2007, for Kerr Street Ministries.

Kerr Street Ministries is a non-denominational organization that serves the vulnerable and disenfranchised of Oakville who, for a multitude of reasons, are not always able to provide for themselves or their families.

It's hard to imagine that Oakville, one of Canada's wealthiest and most blessed towns, has more than 10,000 people who live below the poverty line.

In December, the start of the long winter season brings the bright lights of Christmas shining through the early darkness of evening to brighten our spirits.  From early times, humankind has known the winter solace is a powerful season. It is important for reflection, calming, re-setting, re-energizing to prepare for the New Year.

Before the added hustle and bustle of the holiday season gets in full swing, take a few minutes right now to carve out of your schedule some times of peace when you can contemplate the reason for the season.

Blessings,
Mary German
